Fulham manager Marco Silva insists centre-back Fabio Carvalho is still happy with the club despite missing out on a move to Liverpool.

The 19-year-old almost moved to Anfield over the past winter. Although both clubs have agreed a fee and a medical examination has been complete. But there is a problem with documents that can’t be managed in time. Causing the team to move unsuccessfully.

Despite the failed transfer, Silva insists Carvalho is still happy. “Little tycoon”, although not expecting the situation to be a distraction for the ufabet players.

“On the last day Time and details that really matter are often complicate for everyone. Not just for us, but also for Fabio and the clubs interested in him. What matters is what happened at that moment,” Silva said.

“What I can say is that Fabio is really happy. a day after what happened I saw that he was still smiling as always. He enjoys training and working hard. That’s the important thing.”

The Premier League giants had been keen to sign the playmaker on a long-term deal before loaning him back to the Cottagers for the remainder of the season.

However, both clubs ran out of time to finalise the transfer, leaving the 19-year-old open to offers from foreign clubs until the summer.

Despite the failure to get a deal over the line, Silva feels that the youngster remains happy at Craven Cottage, hinting that he does not expect the situation to become a distraction.

Speaking to reporters, as quoted by The Athletic, Silva said: “On the final day. The timing and the really important details are always complicate for everyone. Not just for us, but for Fabio and for the club with interest in him. This is the main thing to say. That’s what happened in that moment.

“What I can say is that Fabio is really happy. The day after the situation, I saw him with the same smile on his face like always. He enjoyed the session and worked hard. That’s the main thing.”

Liverpool are still favourites to sign Carvalho at the end of the season, a scenario which Fulham would prefer in order to guarantee a fee for the midfielder.
